Are you struggling with a physical, emotional, or spiritual sickness? God’s greatest desire is to heal you and make you whole. While God does not promise us a life free from suffering, God does promise to be present with us in our suffering and to infuse us with comfort and hope. Have you ever invited God to be deeply present with you in the midst of your struggles? If not, now is the time.
On the weekend of September 16-17, Dutilh Church will host services of healing at all four weekend worship services. A healing service is a time when we pray for, lay hands on, and anoint with oil individuals who are in the midst of struggle, asking and trusting God to bring healing. Healing is not magic, and does not always mean a cure of a particular ailment. Above all else, healing occurs when we are united with God through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
If you are battling a physical illness, struggling with addiction, going through a divorce, experiencing a season of depression, grieving the death of a loved one, searching for meaning or purpose, longing to be forgiven of sin, or are experiencing physical, emotional, or spiritual suffering of any kind, then you are invited to come and receive prayers for God’s healing.
James 5: “Are any among you sick? They should call the elders of the church and have them anoint and pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed.”
