We have room for you...
Dutilh Preschool![]() Dutilh Church Preschool is accepting student registrations for the fall term. Located on Dutilh Road in Cranberry Township, next to UPMC Cranberry Hospital, the preschool was the first in the Township. Now in its 38th year of serving families in Cranberry Township, Dutilh Preschool began in 1971 as Dutilh Nursery School. The preschool joined Dutilh United Methodist Church in 1973 and began operating as a Christian nursery school.
Pre-school programs are open to three- and four-year-old children and are designed to provide a comfortable, caring, safe and secure atmosphere in which children can grow and learn; encourage children to be unique; provide a variety of materials and experiences to foster curiosity, satisfaction in learning, spiritual growth, and Kindergarten readiness; instill pride in accomplishments and confidence in abilities; and promote growth in a caring atmosphere fostered by loving adults.
The three-year-old program emphasizes socialization and listening skills. Children are encouraged to explore and create with different art media and educational materials. Music, stories and movement activities are enjoyed daily. Enrichment activities are provided by special guests and occasional field trips.
Dutilh's four-year-old program is designed for pre-kindergarten students. A balance of structured activities develops readiness skills in math and reading. Unstructured time is provided for children to paint, build, pretend, cook and make friends. Music, stories, games and sharing are part of each day. The children explore new places during occasional field trips.
Classes are led by professional teachers certified in Elementary/Early Childhood Education, with assistance from a trained adult aide. Teachers are chosen for their educational background, preschool training, teaching experiences and sensitivity to the needs of young children.
All staff are certified in CPR and First Aid, with additional training in the use of an Epi-pen. They hold current criminal record and child abuse clearances and have participated in the United Methodist Church's Safe Sanctuary program training.
