Canoe Trip on the Clarion River

The Men’s Ministry of Dutilh Church invites you to enjoy a picnic and canoeing on the Clarion River, on Saturday, July 22nd.   Individuals, couples and families are welcome to attend.

Schedule: on Saturday, July 22nd we will gather at the Cranberry Campus at 9;00am to depart.   We will gather at a picnic area in Cook’s Forest for a cold picnic lunch, then to the Pale Whale Canoe Fleet at 1:00pm to pick up our canoes or kayaks for a 4-mile river trip.

The Pale Whale has a café where participants can get a light dinner before returning home.

Cost: $15.00 per person for the canoes, based on 2 people per canoe.  A 3rd person can be in each canoe, as long as total weight does not exceed 550 lbs.  Children 12 & under go free as long as there are two adults in the canoe.

Single kayaks are $27.00 per person.

Participants must sign a waiver, which will be provided to each participant.

Minimum age: the minimum age for participants is based on the water level in the Clarion River.  In late July, the water level is low enough to allow children as young as 3-4 to participate.

Registration:  you can sign up on line beginning July 1st.   Paper registrations will be available at each campus beginning the weekend of July 1st-2nd.  At the Mars Campus, check the Display Table; at Cranberry Campus go to the Information Center.

Deadline for Registration:  Sunday, July 16 for paper registrations; Monday, July 17 for online registrations
